Education
Anton is in his first year of University at his dream school, the University of Waterloo. He is studying Computer Science and taking the Advanced-level computer science classes because they offer a deeper, more in-depth learning experience. Though it may be challenging, Anton enjoys the opportunity to learn more and improve his abilities.
Side Projects
Anton has taken up many different side projects throughout the years in order to learn more. These projects often take the form of games due to his love of games, but there are also a variety of different projects such as webapps and this website. These projects provide fun challenges and new learning opportunities. Anton looks forward to learning more by tackling new projects in different languages and to accomplish different tasks. These projects can be viewed on the Projects pages accessible via the navigation bar on the left.
Team Player
Anton has had the chance to work in strong teams for numerous occasions, namely his time as a Page working at the Ajax Public Library, and his time as the Lead Programmer of the Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School Robotics Team.
As a Page, Anton worked independently and in a team to sort and shelve library materials and provide excellent customer service. By coordinating with his team, he was able to create a friendly work environment and maximize the efficiency of the flow of library materials. Anton also used strong decision-making to prioritize important duties to prevent difficult tasks from piling up and create time for ongoing projects in the library.
As the Robotics Team Lead Programmer, Anton was in charge of programming the robots used in competitions. By taking charge of the programming and working with his team to find a solution to the tasks in the competition, Anton was able to successfully program the robot to be competition-ready. He also wrote the Robotics Engineering Reports required that outlined the specifications of the robot.
Charity Knitting Circle
Life is more than just programming. Anton decided to get involved in the University of Waterloo in order to strengthen his other passions, one of which being knitting.
In Winter 2018, Anton became an executive member of the University of Waterloo's Charity Knitting Circle. He helps organize meetings, ensure the club is working towards their goals, and runs the club's social media sites, a facebook page and an instagram.
Art
Anton also took up drawing as a hobby. Drawing provides a fun relaxation method when the need arises, and also allows Anton to stretch his creative side in ways other than programming. Anton also sometimes uses his own art as part of his projects, such as Alien Entrepreneurs from the Wild Wild West. Anton's art can be viewed on his instagram account.
